We Are CEAR

Welcome to the online home of the Columbia East Asia Review!

CEAR is a multidisciplinary academic journal of East and Southeast Asian Studies based at Columbia University in the City of New York. CEAR's all-undergraduate editorial team publishes new undergraduate research on East and Southeast Asia annually in both print and online editions. We are dedicated to promoting research and fostering idea exchange in the fields of East and Southeast Asian Studies as well as to providing undergraduates with first-hand experience in the peer-review and publishing process.

2013 CALL FOR PAPERS

CEAR's editorial board is now accepting submissions for the Spring 2013 edition from students at universities worldwide. Papers in any discipline by undergraduates or recent grads will be considered for both CEAR and the Oscar Lee Symposium of Undergraduate East Asian Studies (OLS), a half-day conference for undergraduates to present original research on East and Southeast Asia at Columbia University.

For more information on submitting, see submissions.
